I'm financing a 2015 T23 through the Tillys finance department. With good credit, I was hoping for ten percent down and a twenty year loan. They are saying the best they can do is fifteen percent down with a fifteen year loan at a rate of 5.09. Does anybody think I can do better?

This time last year I financed through a credit union. 3.99%. They were offering varying terms up to 20 years with very low down. I think I did 10% only but I took a much shorter term than 20 years. They are still advertising this rate. You have to have good credit to get it. They didn't even have any local branches, I did everything over phone/email and then mailed a check to the dealer. There were a couple of very small fees totaling about ~$30.

Rates have increased since the election. I locked in 3.99 for 15 years last month but put down 25%.

LOL. Well unfortunately the market is different now. I also got sub 3% on my mortgage a few years ago....not happening in today's market.

I bought in October '16. Best rates and the most options found at the time was through Bank of the West.
I will say it was not the smoothest transaction and took a little longer than it should have but it was worth it in the end.
The used boat rates are always a little bit higher. It could be worth looking at a leftover '16 once you consider the cost of financing new vs used.
