Today I was out on my 2016 t23 and all of a sudden felt a shudder. I stopped cause I figured I had brushed a stick or caught a rope etc. after inspecting I see nothing out of place or wrong under the boat. Prop and shaft look to be fine but any time I go over 5 mph I can hear a slight squeal and awful vibration. The faster I go the worse it gets. There is one small nick in the prop about 1/4 in MAX, I doubt that would cause all this ruckus?

I just had my prop reworked, I had a very small vibration in mine. Found out 2 of the 4 blades were tweaked. Doesn't take much, if you have damage to your prop I would expect that being the cause of the vibration. The squealing would lead me to believe you tweaked your shaft.

Unfortunately there is nothing small about my vibration. Over 10mph it shutters the whole boat, I have no clue what could have happened.

You'd be surprised what little prop it takes to make drive components off balance. If you felt it, you could've bent your prop shaft and/or knocked something out of alignment or balance and it won't be obvious.

Upon further inspection I found that 2 blades were slightly warped so I must have spun through a decent size stick. Dropped the prop off this morning to be repaired and should be back on the water next weekend.

You are probably safe with the prop repair. Put the new prop on and you will probably be fine.

I always suggest having a spare so you never miss a weekend with a minor prop repair.

For a spare do most of you have an identical prop or have one that is a little different just to try something else. I have a 1235 on a 2016 T23 with a 350. I'm at 2800 ft elevation. Any thoughts?

How does the boat do when loaded down? Do you like to cruise? Are you willing to give up some RPM'S for more low end power?

It does ok loaded down but it does take a little while to get on plane. Our local lakes are relatively small so cruising isn't essential. We take one trip to Powell each year but it seemed to do well enough last year. Thanks.

I would go with a 2773. It is a 15x13 prop. So you would gain a 1/2" diameter and drop to a 13 pitch. Your rpms would go up a little bit but It is a much stronger prop. My 16 A20 came with the 2249 and the 2773 feels way stronger.
