Hey everyone, not sure if this has ever been discussed or not, but do any of you tow with your boards in the board rack? Our lake is only a 10 min freeway drive or about 20 minute back road drive. i have the spinner board racks and have contemplated just leaving my boards in the rack and spinning them in the boat when i drive. Has anyone done this and had any issues? Thanks!!

My friend did that once on his MC and cost him a new board.. I would never try it and my drive is a mile at 25mph.

I tow 1.6 miles from my storage/RV spot at 25 mph to my ramp without issue. I also leave the Bimini up.

I guess I'm just lazy but it cuts my time for load up and unload considerably. I leave them in the racks in the storage as well.

Easy day. <cheers>

1.6 miles at 25 mph is one thing. Going freeway speeds I don't think so.

Sure but I was mainly countering the other post saying a 25 mph drive just 1 mile. And he wouldn't risk it since his friends Mc lost a board.

I guess for me the extra 30 seconds is not a big deal. Plus I like my boards in a bag when not being used.

Just imagine your board flying off onto the highway causing an accident because you were lazy. That's what it boils down to...lazy. If your board causes an accident, you would be responsible due to an unsecured load.

I'd never do it. That's begging to cause trouble like AJ said above. I throw mine in the vehicle in a bag.

I do it all the time... 10 min drive at 45mph in the Texas wind... never had a problem... except I hit my head sometimes.
