If Jade is having a hard time riding one....I will throw it back in the boat after my first session.

Slingshot has tried a few different things the past few years. The Nomad was a big change from the regular wakeboard length boards and now this. Wonder if one of these will stick.

The better I get at surfing the more my falls seem to include an encounter with the board and or its fins . I gave taken to during real falls to guarding my face and head with my forearms and hands . I can't imagine an encounter with a stainless steel foil, I think using foot straps like the kiteboarding version "might" minimize or eliminate that but then the fslls themselves could get a lot worse . Any body notice how sore your back shoulders and neck get from real surf falls where it throws or flips you on to your head neck and shoulders on your backside?

We just pull up with a rope, get into the wave and drop the rope....like surfing!

I just can't get over how unsafe this seem...like falling off the board and having the force of the wave push that metal foil into you and it hitting your face I can't imagine would feel/turn out great. Isn't there a reason you're strapped into an Air Chair and not just sitting on it?

I totally agree, the better I get at wake surfing the more regularly I encounter my board and its fins, so much so that on real dumps or falls that cause abrupt separation from board, I have taken to covering head and face with forearms and hands.

From that to a stainless steel foil to protect myself from? It should have the foot straps of the old skurfer at a minimum, but then the fall part of these will be greatly magnified but you probably wouldn't encounter the foil

Maybe I'm just jealous !!

I'm sure it takes some serious balance and finesse but overall it looks real boring.
