Boat has 109hrs on it. I changed the oil myself about 100hrs. It's now giving me a service engine required message and beeping. Is there a way to turn this off without taking to dealership?

Did you check the fault code?

I had the same issue on mine. Initially PCM said there was a software update that fixed an issue with the water intake manifold temperature alarm threshold being set to low. It's not actually a problem, but annoying. There's a software update your dealer can do. I had them do it on mine, and took it out that same day and the alarm went off again.

Went out 2 more days and ran it hard, no alarms at all. Boat is back in the shop for the 20 hour service and they're working with PCM on it. I should have the boat back by Tuesday and I'll give an update.

Pull the positives on the batteries overnight. This should reset the service required error. It will keep coming on if there is still a problem but it shouldn't return if it was a one time thing. If it does pop back up, immediately check the fault code.

I've heard that a couple of cold starts without seeing the error will reset it too but the battery disconnect worked for me.

What code exactly were you seeing? I've seen these codes a few times and this weekend it was on longer and caused me to go into limp mode. I pulled the impeller and swam under to check the intake for debris. All was fine.

Also when the light first comes on the boat seams to temporarily lose power but picks right back up.

I would try to read that code ASAP. Losing power points more towards a malfunctioning part than a bad sensor something.

Might look into buying one of these if you're a good drive from the dealership. It would help to figure out if you have a serious issue or more of an annoyance. They are about $600 though.

Pretty sure that's the error code the 2015 PCM engines were seeing before the software reflash. What year are you?
