We spend most of our time surfing, but occasional wakeboard. My wife likes to ride at about 18 and I can't seem to figure out a configuration that gives a nice crisp wake on both sides. Luckily, she's regular foot and I can get the starboard wake crisp, but the port side wake is washed out at that speed. If I get up to 22-23, it cleans up nicely, but she doesn't like riding that fast.

It's a 2015 T23 with 900 in hard tanks, a 900 in each rear locker, and a 650 in the bow. Any suggestions? Wedge or no wedge? How much weight? Should there be more weight on one side than the other? Surely someone else has noticed this.

I have an a20 but wakeboard wake is better with more weight in the front and less in the rears. When we're not surfing I drain the rear 800s and only leave the hard tanks full.

Are u trying to pull her at 18 mph with everything full? The more weight you run the faster you have to go to clean up the wake, that's why you're seeing it clean up at 22-23 mph. I would bet with just the stock 900 hardtanks you would get a clean wake at 18-19 mph. Also, how far back is she riding?

Center only at that speed. Someone that rides at 18 really shouldn't need a big wake.

So what's your wakeboard weight setup?

Please tell me you aren't trying to have her ride at 18mph with ballast if she's a newbie rider.

Had a similar situation, was running faster but added more weight to the side that was washed out and it crisped up.

I've only got ~10 hours on the boat and still am trying to get things dialed. So far it looks like front and center ballast full (that's the stock center under the floor plus a bag in the front under the seats that the dealer put in), both rear hard tanks full (I don't know how much they hold), but the 800lb bags in the lockers are empty, plus I drop the wedge. My brother likes the same but with the wedge up instead. 21MPH

If she is new take out all the ballast. No wedge... What is the point of having a huge wake if she is just learning... Is she jumping? if not, light as possible. Wake will clean up. move the rope in a section. That is how I set up for my 10 and 13 year old. Clean transitions. they are starting to try to get air... lol..

More weight to the side that is crumbling. That it how you can clean it all up.

I do agree that if she is new.. No wedge, no weight and only add weight to the tank on the side that is not clean.
