Hey everyone. We are at the time for an oil change. Coming onto 50 hours and I am going to do this one, dealer did the first one after the break in period.

I want to be 100% certain that this oil (Rotella 15W-40) picture attach is an acceptable oil to use. Not looking for "what's the best oil to use" just want to make sure that this oil fits my 350 monsoon engine for my 2016 A20???

Much appreciated. Image

Yes that is fine for use with either the 350 or the 409 motor. The 450 uses Mobil one 5w30.

I use Mobil Delvac 15w40 but Rotella T is fine too.

Awesome. Thank you. Our local dealer said Rotella is what they use, so that is what I looked for. I will be looking further at what I prefer long term to use, but the local big box had gallon containers on sale for $9.

You may want to go with what the manual says. I picked up oil from the local Mastercraft dealer and it was a Ford oil product. After reading the bottle it stated not for use in catalyst equipped engines. It was also a diesel oil. I returned it and waited until I could find the recommended (Pennzoil) oil from the manufacturer.

The Crusader engine manual states that above 50 degrees an SAE 15W-40 "GF-4/SM" is recommended. Then in their FAQ is states SAE 15W-40 "SJ". On the Shell Rotella website for the oil pictured above the SAE viscosity grade has the SJ & SM listed for this 15W-40 oil, just not the GF classification. I also haven't been able to find the GF-4/SM anywhere in 15W-40.

If the dealer hasn't had any issues then I'd wager my left arm to say you won't either.
I ran the Delvac in my 2010 A22 for years without issue. I've never heard of oil causing catalytic converter issues in any type of motor.

Many people are running Rotella T in GM-based engines. I'm running it in my Monsoon 330. You'll be good.

I run Rotella. I emailed crusader direct and that was their recommendation.

This is all I ran in my diesel truck 5+ years and boats (last 3) and never had an issue.

Wow $9 is cheap. What's the filter run?
