Attempted to wakeboard last weekend and boat wasn't putting out a clean wake at normal speed I board at so assumed didn't have bags loaded right and had others on boat that wanted to surf so decided to give that a try. Attempted surfing at normal speed, 10-11 mph, and wake would not clean up so sped up to 13 ish before getting clean wake. At that point surf gate error, high speed warning and unable to surf.
Assuming my speedometer or cruise control is not in calibration. Any help on resolving my issue? Once out of water I cleaned the power wheel, which did not seem to be dirty or blocked and plan on disconnecting batteries to reset but am looking for advice if this doesn't resolve my issue. Have not been able to put boat back in water yet.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You might try calibrating your speedo- download a GPS speedometer app for your smartphone and use that to check the accuracy of your speedo. Once you determine if it needs to be adjusted, use the speedometer calibration menu in the instruments setup menu. Mine was reading faster than actual from the factory.

Mine was also off by 4 mph from the factory. When speedo said 22 I was only going 18.

Wait a second, surfgate has that limit. He's not saying he's getting a difference between cruise and speedo like the 2014 speedometer and software recall as noted on forums on both sites axis and Malibu . 13 plus to clean up wake, it's another issue, axis wake cleans up to butter face st 9.8. This is a load in boat positioning problem, example if I'm on my full setup and multiple people want to sit on back seat, my wave won't form

I wake skate without jumping at 15 , eo you are up against the surfgate limit, 2014 it will simply retract at higher speeds I think
