Has anyone heard of any surfgate recall? My boat is at the dealer getting ready for summer and they said it needed a surfgate module per Malibu. Had to order a parts for it.

what year is yours gibbs? I'd assume it affects all surfgates with specific years, but it may be model specific as well?

Mine is a 2016. It has the newer surfgate actuators.

Recall=Safety issue. Risk of injury or death. Tracked by the USCG.
Service Bulletin=A potential issue has been identified. Here is how to repair it. Affects a number of boats.
Advisory=If you happen to run across this here is how to troubleshoot/repair it. Might possibly affect some boats.
There is a service bulletin for a relay module on the 2016 Axis boats.
