I agree. The only concern I would have is with corrosion on the external section of the plug. If the plug shows signs of corrosion, replace it. I had an old Sea Ray that I changed the plugs on it shortly after I purchased it. Three out of the 6 plugs broke due to corrosion. I had to use a reverse screw extractor on it. I imagine the plugs haven't been changed in 10+ years.
