You do realize that there is a point of diminishing returns on ballast. Your wave does not continue to get bigger with more and more weight. Even with surfgates you can over ballast a boat. This can be done on traditionally listed boats as well as far as adding too much ballast. Believe me, I'm a fan of lots of ballast for surfing with my current gated A24 and my 3 other non-gated boats that I had to list. That new Malibu is massive in freeboard, the top-deck is probably close to 6 inches or more taller on the trailer than my A24.
