Rough first day with the T23

Took delivery of my new T23. Left on a 5 hour road trip to our lake house. Get boat in water and take 10 minute ride to marina for gas....turn key...RPM to 2000...alarms...service required flashes....engine shuts off.

Dealer was at the lake. He look at it for an hour and still same response. FYI, it is the PCm 350 engine.

Disappointing day. Guess we now need to head 5 hours back home and drop off boat at dealer.
On the positive side, got a lot of compliments on the looks.

Did you check the diagnostics menu for any codes?

Sorry to hear about your first day. From your other thread were you by chance at Norris?

Yes. We are at Norris.

I don't know if it works with boats, but did you try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and let the ECM reset itself? Maybe it just whacked out and a reset will right things. And instead of going all the way home try the Knoxville dealer we were talking about. Warranty is warranty, and it is sure a lot closer if it isn't major.

Go see Joyce and Shannon at Marine Outfitters. They are awesome people to deal with and I'm sure they can get you fixed up. They are a little over an hour from Norris. We are headed to Norris this evening for Fire On The Water. Let me know if there is anything I can stop and get to bring. Sorry for your bad first day, that sucks!

Take it by Sunny Marine in Clinton, TN and explain your situation. The drive shouldn't take but 30 minutes from Norris.

thats a bummer my first trip out with less than 2 hours of break in and mine threw faults because the oil temp sensor came unplugged but i was able to drive it back to the marina and onto the trailer and has been fine since finding the problem

Gonna try and load it onto trailer in the morning and take it back home.
Not looking forward to getting on the the trailer at a ramp with no power.
