I ordering a t23 in December! I'm super pumped. I was wondering what has seem to be the best ballast setup? I have heard everything from 1100's to 750s in the rear and 650 to 750 in the bow. Of course I want the longest, great push and best lip possible. What should I order for the boat? Thanks for the help!

My setup is in my signature. I keep a 750 sumo sac for the walkway when the boat is empty with just my wife and children.

Thanks guys that makes it really easy lol. It seems like everybody I have talked to have both of your setups and they all like it that way. I guess I will just have to suck it up and go one way. I can always add or takeaway later down the road. Gibbs....have you calculated your GPH while surfing with that setup?

Here is my wave running 1100's in rear lockers and everything else full + wedge. I also throw a bag on the seat in front if I can't get at least 2 or 3 people to sit up there. It doesn't necessarily make it any bigger, but the length is unbeatable. I'm probably 25+ feet behind the boat in this picture. I've never been behind a boat I could run my hand along the curl...

Here is one more in the trough. I'm 5'10" and 215 lbs and the wave has so much push I literally can't fall out of the back.

Asweome shot. What speed are you going, just curious ... a friend has a t23, 1100's plus the bow 600ish ... doesn't look nearly that nice. Guess she needs more weight in the center or bow it sounds like or a faster speed. I think we go around 10.8 to 11.

I'm running 12.0 according to the paddle wheel speedo, but I think its adjusted a little fast. So probably 11.4 or 11.6 would be my actual speed. If I slow down to 11 the wave will get significantly taller, but I prefer this shape and length and it still pushes like a mountain behind me.

Also, with all the Axis models I've ever been on, you can't put too much weight in the bow. The more I run in my boat the longer the wave gets and the lower the RPM's my motor turns. So get as much up there as you can, especially if you are running 1100's in the lockers.

WOW what a nice wave. You're making me second guess our decision to order a T22. I just wish the T23 would fit in our garage. What motor and prop are you running?

I just realized you're in Boise as well! What is your color scheme? I am pretty sure we've crossed paths at Lucky Peak. We are in a light graphite and red A22.
