So I have decided that the 450 with 1.72 gear reduction will be the way to go, when we order our '16 T22. Anyone here have any experience with this combo? I am looking for prop recommendations. This will be my dealers first T22 order with the 450 and he is more than willing to let us swap props as many times as necessary.

I think CDoogles would be the best resource for your question. He has a 15 T23 with the 450 that has the 1.72:1 vdrive. I think he posted some prop info on one of his threads. See if you can find his posts. If memory serves me right, I think he went back to the 1235.

Btw...good choice on the 450. I wish my T23 had a 450 for the long runs in between bays to find good water. That way I wouldn't have to run so much prop for surfing. Just my experience.

I've been running that combo all year. Love it, no shortage of torque :)

The right prop is really dependent on how much weight you want to run and how fast you want your top speed. With the 2315 or 2313 you can run in the range of 7000lbs of ballast but your top speed empty will be around 37mph. If you're not running that much weight I would suggest the 2249 for a little less low end torque, more speed, and fuel savings since you'll be running at a lower RPM. Let me know if you have any further questions! Thanks-
