I am looking to pull the trigger and have a couple of options. The main difference I am seeing is the motor... 2014's are coming with the 330 and the 2015 with the Moonsoon 350hp. Am I going to regret not getting the 2015 for a difference of $5-7K??? I plan to surf a lot with 1k bags in the rear lockers and all I can fit in the bow. In addition to wakeboarding with moderate weight.

I wouldn't say hp is the main difference. I would say gear ratio in transmission is the biggest difference. If your going to be running a lot of weight and don't have the option of the bigger motor, I would opt for the 15 with the newer gear ratio. Hull is the same for both years.

Both boats will be fine with the right prop. We like to weight the boat heavy for wakeboarding so my choice would be the bigger engine. Both will surf slammed with the OJ 945 prop or the ACME 2315 prop.

Another improvement in the later 2015 boats is the placement of the rear drain and vent thru hulls. the earlier boats had them at the back of the locker and they slowly leak. These thru hulls were moved to the front of the locker in later '15 boats correcting the problem. My t22 is an early '15 and has the drains aft and unless I plug them the pnp bags drain to 1/2 full within 15-30 minutes.

I just bought a t23 with the 409 I would stick with the bigger engine if you plan on all that weight

congrats on the new boat!
The 409 is not needed unless you are at elevation and care about top speed. I had a 400hp in my old a22 and the 350 in this a22. the engine trans combo in the 350 pulls like a tractor. I notice no difference out of the hole with the 350. I notice a difference on top speed.

This is great information. Nothing would make me more mad then a ballast bag draining; whole reason for Surf GAte boat is to not have the ballast-fill down time. Also, good to know there is no hull change.
THe more I look at the A22 the more I want it. I really like the additional room in the bow, and Really, Really like the double staging area on the transom.
