I was out with 8 adults after Wake the World in KC surfing and wakeboarding. The surf wave was amazing, but when we had all of factory ballast, plus the 750 pnps in the rear, the bow sack filled up and wedge down, the boat wouldn't plane for wake boarding speed. It would get to around 14 m.p.h. and stall out. Needless to say, I was a little embarrassed. My boat has the LS3 engine and 1235 prop.

We even had some of the people move to the front and that wasn't enough. Is there anything I could do different with I want it all maxed out besides upgraded to the torque prop?

Prop is what you need. Did you try with people up front and no wedge?

When I'm running the 750s on top of stock I don't use the wedge. My set up would benefit more from additional weight in the bow over running the wedge. And, as AJ said, I'd swap the prop.

Yea, we pulled the wedge up and the boat planed out. We just had to have three up front for it to get onto plane. With a new prop on the horizon, anyone want to sell their 2315 prop...I'll pay bottom dollar :)

You mean it's supposed to plane with all the sacs full? If so, sounds like you need more sacs for surfing. I'm usually at least half empty before I can plane, and that's with the wedge up. I guess I never expected a boat with the equivalent of 4000 lbs of water plus another 1000-2000 pounds of meat to plane.

Bigger engines, lower altitudes, lower pitch prop, more weight in front will all help, of course, but at the end of the day, if you put enough weight in it, you'll be able to surf but not wakeboard.

I couldn't even leave the wedge down to surf this last weekend as the boat couldn't get going fast enough to clean up the wake with it. Of course, I was at something like 8500 feet...

I have the same engine and the same prop. my water ballast is at 4300lbs, ill also run wedge and have another 600+ lbs of passenger weight. With all that, It'll take a while to plane but it still does it. What I noticed, if your idling for a while and try to give it WOT with that much weight, it take a whole lot of time to plane, but if I rider falls and you quickly pick up and go again, it planes out in half the time. Maybe the engine likes being HOT?!

I've noticed the 1235 prop will get stuck at 5k rpm. I tried the 2315 and it would allow my engine to rev up to 5500 and it will plane out way fast.

Also, I usually run 91 octane with a few bottles of octane booster when I plan on running heavy.

You said you have tried the 2315, did you not keep it?

It was a buddies extra prop. Once I get a deal on one, ill definitely be upgrading.just to give you an idea on cruising around the lake unloaded, the 1235 @ 3500 rpm runs at 27mph, the 2315 @3500 rpm runs at 25mph. So, you don't lose too much top end either.

If you really want to push a lot of weight with no problem get a 2419.
