Just put my 2015 A20 in the water this spring. I'm having trouble loading and unloading. I'm submersing the trailer with about 2" water above the fenders (single axle). Still takes more throttle than I'd like to get on/off the trailer.

Has anyone ever used the EZ Slide bunk pads...like plastic/teflon pads?

Any spray on stuff to slick the bunks?

Maybe just submerse deeper? I'm already covering the muffler on my Yukon...how deep is too deep? TWSS

Launching and recovery depends on ramp steepness. Hard to give advice without seeing your ramp first hand. I always back in until I see the rear of my boat shift and float on its own. That's also how deep I'll back the trailer in to recover later. Are you trying to trailer the boat with people in the boat still?

Nope, just me. Should've named the topic "stuck bunk"

Sounds like you just are using a very shallow angled ramp. Those are probably the hardest because you have usually have more boat sitting on the bunks which means more surface tension on the bunks and harder to unload and load vs a ramp with medium to almost steep angle. A ramp that is very steep is difficult on it's own with other factors.

we have a couple shallow ramps and it's a must to wet the entire bunks before trying to load the boat. Not sure if that helps but hope so.

Most landings will require quite a bit of throttle to get the boat all the way on the trailer, but getting it off shouldn't require much if any. I have a tandom axle with A20 and it is pretty easy to unload, making me think it is probably the landing's fault. It certainly isn't as hard as loading and unloading this, where we have the rear tires in the water at most landings (so yeah, just make sure you don't back the trailer off the landing if there is a blowhole):

Me, personally, I load and unload the boat(A20) by hand non-powered. I back the trailer down until the boat starts to float, unhook it and float it over to the dock. Loading is the same procedure but in reverse. I do this at both locations that I use. I have found it much easier than a power launch or load. And the truck is backed down until the exhaust is just above the water. This has been my most successful method.

I launch by having the truck back down and hit the brakes to help ease it off. we have a shallow non steep ramp. the exhaust tail pipe is underwater. 4wd silverado. when loading out, my wife putts slowly and just coasts in. I then hook up the winch and winch it all the way in (15 A22). works pretty good. dont like to power load. or unload.

I have used the spray-on bunk lube on other boat trailers. It works well in terms of making the bunks incredible slippery. You spray it on while the boat is off and let it dry before recovery. The stuff lasts for several launches. I had to be careful launching because the trailer was so slippery!

I am convinced that they are buying Armor All in bulk and putting it in smaller spray bottles and a big mark-up.

YMMV

Hmmm, I don't know about this technique of "hit the brakes to ease it off". Sounds like there could be potential for something weird or freakish to happen. Maybe the boat come off uncontrolled or crooked and the underwater drive components hitting the prop guard or trailer frame, maybe the truck hitting a patch of slick moss on the ramp and the truck keeps going? To each his own technique but this is the first in all my 26 years of boating hearing or seeing this done with a wakeboat. However, if it works for you and you feel safe doing so...by all means proceed.
