Hey people. Well, the ten break in hours are up and I was all set to do some surfing. Unfortunately the wake didn't cooperate. I only have the factory tanks and I tried every combo of filling, and still couldn't get any type of wave that I could surf without the rope. The boat is a '13 A20, no gate. Is this the way it works without additional ballast or am I missing something? All input is appreciated.

I'd suggest the poor mans gate, works like a charm on the a20's

I would try more weight...specifically on the surf side.

You need the extra weight. I run a full 750 in the surf side locker. Plus the full pnp bag in the front, hard center full and hard surf side full. Then move everyone to the surf side of the boat in the back. Set the speed to 10.0 and go from there.
Be sure to avoid your own rollers and only turn away from your listed side.

This, plus you need plug and play. Stock tanks aren't nearly enough to wakesurf.

Sumo 900s + poor mans surfgate (or Wicked Wake Surf) = money.

Thanks people for the info. I'm waiting for my wicked wave, and bags are on tap.

gixxer, I have an A20 also and with the Wicked Wake you will not need to list your boat just fill everything you have and make sure you have a bag in the front also. You will love this surf wake it will be long and steep enough to do all the tricks. It takes just a few minuets to change sides, and not having to list your boat makes it so much safer. I recommend bolting your Wicked Wake to the swim platform, if you do it the way Joey's Web pages shows you how you will have a lot easier time on the water.
