i have a couple issues with the 2015 A22 i thought y'all might have some insight about.

1. why are there no front cleats? nosing into docks/slips is a pain because where the cleats on the boat are located are always behind the cleats on the dock. i may have the dealer install some front cleats on the pickle nose at my 20hr service. is it okay to temporarily use the front handle rails?

2. i'm getting major feedback/buzzing from my port side tower speakers only when the engine is on (i have SP2 with the 4 ICONs). is there a quick fix or is this a warranty issue?

thanks guys

I had a major issue with buzzing when I got my boat. RCAs were replaced and re-routed. I had the dealer handle that. Make sure to tell them to water test it or hook up fake-a-lake so they can check it with engine on.

I had to take mine to the dealer about 5 times to get the problem solved. The issue just kept recurring.

I agree totally about the front cleats, I really don't know why Axis doesn't put any up there. I also keep thinking about adding but never got around to it. I do use the grab handle to tie off when needed.

I added a matching pop up cleat to the bow. Stupid that Axis doesn't put a cleat up there. The midship cleats are really only useful for fenders.

It makes sense to have the cleats where they are...it's the widest part of the boat so that's where the fenders work the best. However, for those that slip their boat I can see the need for a cleat up front to have a short dock line. There's only the one place I slip my boat at the dock so when I approach I'll just quickly loop a bungee dock line one the bow eye and have it ready

At our slip I don't even use the cleats but use the bow eye in the front with a Y design rope and hook for the bow eye and in the rear I have a rope w/ hook going to both transom eyes to keep it centered. On our current/old boat we didn't even have cleats and for almost 20 years tied up when out using ONLY the grab handles, as well as using it to tie the anchor off. I'd say they are plenty strong enough. Our new boat we ordered w/ 2 pair of cleats and am glad to see them at the widest parts of the boat.
