I received this via email today:

------------------------------
Hey guys,

Quick note to let everyone know that we are milling the final pieces to the new Sidewinder booms for both the G3 and the Axis. This is the final step in the design phase, at which point we will lock in each part design and then produce the first run for shipment.

I am very excited about them, as the look will be sweet, and we already know they work great!

Thanks for your patience!
Peter Brown

The price is out of my range...$1200. I would pay about 1/2 that.

Sorry to hear that Doug, but I understand cost vs value is different for everyone. The figure you posted is no longer valid, that was an intro price that we were shooting for, and since I'm not having these made in China the cost will be higher.

Keep in mind that a standard Skylon Boom is $499, and a BI Boom is $499 plus a $99 height adjuster. Neither of these will work on a v-drive, and no other boom will pivot up into a storage position. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but I currently have folks that are selling their current universal boom and ordering this one.

Keep your feet wet!
Peter

ps - Video above is of the prototype, not the finished product.
