Ok, so our upgrade/install of the 750's in the rear locker and 950 arrow bag in the front went without incident - but my next question is this... Before and definitely now after we increased the weight there is a spray of water coming from the surfgate that's engaged, in other words, opposite the surfer. I'm guessing this is normal and necessary and a result of the increased weight in the two rear lockers? I don't guess it seems to affect the wave, I guess I'm just concerned that with the spray it looks like it's struggling to push out there?
Second, sometimes our cruise control is all over the place other times it holds pretty firm within .1-.2 fluctuations. This is not necessarily new since adding the heavier bags but definitely seems to act up a little more with the wedge up instead of down. I have a theory - that if we don't make sure we fully progress to almost full throttle when pulling up the surfer, we see it struggle more with the cruise control. but If I make sure the cc is about 160 degrees or more it holds the speed much better?
Final question, why would some of our seasoned surfers have more trouble catching up with the boat with the added weight? Of course, this may relate to issues in question #2.

When fully loaded the surfgate moves a lot more water. I used to have the cruise control wander more with the original prop with too much pitch - I believe it was because of poor throttle response with that prop and these speeds and loads. Now it only has what I call geo-based errors. We play on a section of the Colorado river between 2 dams approx 17 miles apart. The water moves about 2 mph. There are areas where the depth changes and the water speed changes also. My speed and wake get screwy at some of these locations. Not an issue for wakeboarding and skiing, but very noticeable in surfing. I now turn around before the offending areas. Finally with the bigger wake the sweet spot seems to be more pronounced. I think that more front weight will help and am currently trying to put more people in the playpen to test this.
