Is anybody else using 15"x12 pitch Acme prop on their A22. I am using it now and it with plane off with any amount of weight (3000+) in the boat and wedge down but, top speed it 37mph when everything is empty and I'm cruisin. Has anybody compared it against the 5 Blade Props. Any feedback on this subject would be awesome!!!

The top speed on mine with the 5 blade is 39 in rough water on a gps, others have seen 40-41 on a gps in better conditions, if you can get 37 and out of the hole good with 3k+ I'd say you have exactly what you need.

Thanks. I have been in communication with the guys at acme and the have been seeing the same results. It looks like the 5 vs 4 blade has no real advantage to either prop. You should see the 15" though it looks giant on the boat. Thanks for the feedback so quick.

The only big thing I noticed was the drop in rpm at wakeboard speed, mine dropped 300-400 rpm, and it did get quieter and the roost the prop makes is considerably smaller.

I ride at 24.5 and the boat is running 3600 rpm. What does the 5 Blade run for you??

Exactly what I'm seeing with my 5 blade OJ. Don't know about gas consumption though between the Acme 1235 I still have and the 5 blade. I may do a test.

The 1235 is the High Altitude. The 2315 is more aggressive pitch and .5" wider with larger blades too (that's what I'm running). I think there won't be any comparison between the high altitude and the 5 blade.

How is the clearance between the prop and hull with the 2315?

Johnny did a full on comparison of the 5 blade and a prop similar to one you are using here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=551
If you run that much ballast all the time you will probably be better off with your current prop
At 24-25 mph I'm running about 3200-3400, just depends on the water and wind conditions, that's with full ballast and pnp 400lb rear bags and standard axis front bag, and wedge, no ballast and wedge drops rpm another 300 or so

You still have about .5" from the bottom. The prop seems to be very efficient. And holds speed perfectly. This might be me but we have hit so many logs and still haven't bent this prop yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!
