Alright, I want a quick way to bypass my rear ballast bags and just fill my hard tanks. I want to disconnect the fill line and drain line and connect them some way. Has anyone done this...? How would you go about making it work? Need some kind of quick connect to fit the two ends together.

Maybe buy two bag fittings and somehow find a way to connect them by the threaded ends...?

Thoughts....

What year do you have? I have a '13, my rear lines came with ball valves. Vertical setting starts filling the bags first then water drains into hard tanks; horizontal setting fills hard tanks only (bypasses the bags) and overflows up into the bags once the hard tanks are full.

I have the 12. With my current setup I am filling the bags and it then overflows into the tanks.
No ball valves.

If I could buy two of these and somehow find a piece to attach both of the threaded ends I would be in business. Just disconnect from bags and connect together with piece and done.

I would love to know if I could add the ball valves to my existing set-up and how difficult it would be. Of course for my purposes I think the quick connect fitting would be my best route for now.

Couple of these and a short length of hose should accomplish what you are looking for

instead of rigging it why don't you just take the time and re plum you system. that's what I did. its not that hard, you don't have to go to the extent I did you can basically just switch a few lines

if you can make a drawing in paint of your set up I can help you buy changing it so you know exactly what to do. I just don't remember how it came from factory

I'm not sure that I see a huge advantage in doing this? Why worry about it. If you only want a little bit of ballast then just flip the switch and stop the pumps when the bag starts to fill.

A lot of effort to go through, IMO.

Here is an option for you( basically same as dman, minus the wakemakers price gouge). Go to --- https://www.flow-rite.com/marine/products?page=1 , buy (2) MA-032 (since you have 3/4" lines). Connect barbed ends with whatever length of hose works best. Install when needed. Done. :D

My bag fills first and then it drains into the hard tanks.
Actually doing this to help son with his competitions. When he rides all week with factory ballast along with 950 up front and 1200 in the rear it is a rude awakening when they only run factory ballast at the tournaments. Actually going to bypass the rear bags with the wakemakers setup and make him practice new tricks with just factory ballast. Want to have my boat set as close to possible as the ones used in tournaments.
When he wants to just goof off and start throwing some bigger stuff we will just hook it back up. But for the most part of the summer he will be riding factory set up.
Hopefully this wakemakers set up will be easy.
