I used the AXIS factory arm with the PTM mirror. works beautifully, but a little shaky on rough water >20mph.

If you have pics, could you please send? PTM sent me a pic of the extension, it's only 4" longer for the axis boat and still seems like it wouldn't adjust to a great angle and be a head clunker.

Mounted above the arm or

below the arm, it sits right above the window frame

Seems to be 50/50 on how I see others mounted. I prefer below.

So ... if you buy the one on the PTM site, it won't work ... obviously, they've made a custom one for Axis that they don't sell ... PTM offered me the extension piece, its about 4" longer than the one they sell online but the main arm is very differrent ... didnt even know the arm was an option with Axis, just the PTM mirror which was about $50 more than the online VR140 window mounted one I saw at my dealer ... hopefully I can still get the one for Axis from PTM.

I would return or ebay the PTM arm and get an AXIS arm. Its perfect match to the tower AND it has a builtin bottle opener!!

Good luck.

Haha, bottle opener ... the arm for the AXIS is only available from AXIS. PTM was excellent to work with. They are taking back the arm and I'm going to stick with the windshield mount. I don't think I'd be happy with the vibration over 20 mph.

Again, one thing I think AXIS and at least my dealer lacks is a bulleted list of options when ordering. Show me what I can order and how much it costs. Thanks for the pics and the feedback.

That's your dealer. Boat builder with all the options are also on the axis website.

Its not really a vibration it just falls a bit over a certain mph or extremely rough water. but its well past wake boarding speed
