I know that this is probably a stupid question. I bought my 2012 A22 used and have read the manual, but don't see a way to tell how much is in each ballast tank. Is there a setting on the gauges to see that?

No ballast gauges in Axis boats. Just good old fashioned visual check which is near impossible if you run hard tanks only. If you really want to learn how full the hard tanks are, then time all 3 tanks fill time individually, then you will be able to estimate how full it is after that.
