Noticed that my automatic bilge was not coming on after a hard day of surfing like it usually does. When i turn it on, it spits out a ton of water. Anyone have experience or advice as to why the automatic part of the bilge would stop working and/or how to fix it?

Thanks on advance!

The pump should be mounted by clicking into a plastic bracket on the floor of the bilge. The bracket keeps it upright so that when water comes in and gets to a certain level, it lifts a float and kicks on the pump automatically. Since you said the pump works from the switch, it may have come out of the bracket and not be sitting right, or maybe it got jammed so the float can't move.

Agreed, its the float switch or the pump itself is out of the bracket.

thanks guys. Looks like the float has gone bad. The part is covered under warranty so good to go.

FYI - if this happens to you (the auto bilge stops) and if your bilge is a Sahara Series, there is a a knob dial on the side of the bilge. Turning this while battery is on should manually move the pump and turn on the bilge. If nothing happens after you turn the knob, then the float component is broken. $60 bilge or warranty.

Thanks for the help!
