I bought this 2013 axis A22 a few months ago from a dealer close to me. They said it wa the owners boat, barely any hours like 50 and never been titled. I bought it..well i went to pick it up a few months ago and they took me on the boat tour ride showing me all the options it has and things like that. I scanned through the gauge and the hours on the boat said 200! i was like whoa wait you told me this boat had 50 hours on it. which i dont even know how you could put that many hours on a boat in a summer where the dealer is bc they have maybe 2-3 months of decent weather. So the dealer said no no we had to swap the ecm with another boat and haven't received the new one for your boat yet. Sounded fishy to me so its been like 2 months now and i haven't heard back from the dealer at all. Is there a way to find out if the ECM thats in my boat now is the one that came factory and where is it located?

i just talked to malibu and they told me to call indamr and they'll be able to run the numbers from the engine and tell me the ecm number. I like the boat but if this is true then its def fraud.

oh sorry i musta missed that part, well then in that case if the numbers match they are in the wrong, but if they dont then maybe they are being truthful and did swap it out, in that case I would personally want the original or some documentation from service that shows date and hours on the hull.
Did they say why they changed the ecm... usually the hours can be transferred to the new ecm... at least on all seadoos I have worked on they do that.
I would print out a copy of the ad or whatever site you got the 50 hours off of , this will be your ticket to freedom, otherwise you only have their "word" and thats not good enough for me

in my head i just dont know how you could even put 200 hours on a 2013. If they do match then they'll have the choice of giving my a whole bunch of free stuff or refunding my money. If the hours are legit at least its still under warrenty but I'll be sure to tell everyone the owner and name of this dealership.

The part that really makes me mad is if these hours are true then the lying and covering it up is the bullshit. They could have handled it the day I picked the boat up and saw the hours. They could've said we are so sorry the salesman said that incorrectly we'll make it right by either cash or merchandise credit or something. To cover it up with some long winded story or replacing the ECM and needing to order me a new one then not hearing from these people at all and it's June. Malibu is running my hull id to give eve some answers so I'll figure it out real soon

it wouldnt be that hard to put that many hours on a 2013, they started production of 2013's in fall of 2012, so it could have been around for awhile, and if you ride a coupe days a week, 200hrs a season isnt that unheard of......sorry to be a debbie downer...hope you get this figured out quickly.

honestly i think the hours on the boat are correct at 200. Which unfortunatly for them is my mom is an attorney and was there with me when I bought the boat. My wife was there when I picked up the boat and I saw the hour difference and when they tried to cover it up. If the hours are true then its a solid case of fraud which leaves me to take the boat back and buy another or they give me X amount of cash back from the purchase.
