Hello all! I have a 2011 A22 giving me trouble when starting. It takes 4-6 seconds of cranking to fire off. It runs fine once started , but it does this each time you start it?? Almost seems the fuel is loosing prime when you kill it. Any thoughts

Are you running the blower in between starts, mine acts like that if I don't keep the blower moving fresh air in the engine compartment

My A20 does the same as treedoc and I normally run the blower often.

I never run the blower, Ill try that-but I wouldnt think that would make a diff on starting??? I have even tried to turn on ignition a few seconds before cranking. This didn't help. Is there a check valve in the fuel line that holds pressure?? Im going back to the lake thursday and Ill check all fittings for a loose connection or leak but i dont have a clue how the fuel system is set up.

I live in Odessa, the fuel system is a standard GM pump, should have a check valve in the pump, pressure spec I believe is 58-62 psi, it should only lose about 5 psi every 10 minutes or so if the engine isn't running, normally the systems are very dependable but moisture kills electric motors quick, if you do a bunch of regular foot surfing there is a small chance you may get water in your tank vent if it's weighted heavy

Mine usually starts between 2 and 4 seconds, hit me up next time you go on a weekend, we can put a fuel pressure gauge on it and check the computer and sensors and stuff. My truck is in the body shop getting last weekends mishaps fixed, then I can get the gelcoat fixed where I hit that damn rock, is there anyone in midland that does gel work?

We regular foor surf all the time, but the boat has been slow to fire since the first time on the water.Id like to check that stuff, We go to Nasworthy every thursday- sat. Our place is on sleepy hollow cove-(there is a large ANGELO TREE EXPERTS sign on our back dock) Stop by anytime. As far as gelcoat, Marine express is the only one I have ever used. They did a good job a few years ago. Not sure how anal you are with the boat but I'd just fiberglass it and shoot a coat of paint. If you have my luck, it wont be ur last ding. Thanks Arlen Fisher

Hello all! I am checking back in to see if anyone has the "delayed" starting issue that my A22 2011 has??? I have tried everything possible to solve the problem but no luck. I finally took it to a dealer who told me that Indmar demands that the first step was to replace the cap and rotor (at my expense???) then since that didnt fix the issue, they said to replace the plugs (at my expense??) I thought this would be covered under warranty? but they explained that the required maintance was to replace these items (cap rotor and plugs) at 100 hours. My boat only has 75 hrs on it???? they said "it's close enough to the 100 hrs" soooo its not covered? In the paper work, I read that the tune up was to be in 300 hrs not 100 hrs??? After 5 weeks and a bill for a thousand dollars, they told me that uhhhh pretty much they couldnt find whats causing the problem soooo here's your boat... I'm just checking to see what yalls thoughts are? Should this be covered by warranty?

Has the service required light ever popped up on you?
