I have always wondered, but immediately forget as soon as I get off the boat...on one of hone poles attaching the bimini to the tower there is Velcro wrapped around it (both sides in the same spot). I do not see the other side (stiff part as the soft side is on the pole) that would attach to it.....and regardless I can't figure it out.

With my luck I would yank it off and find out immediately that it's for something amazing. If nobody knows what I'm talking about then I can get a pic this weekend

Mine has velcro on the front center bar. I put both the side bracing poles in it to keep them from falling out when I pull the bimini boot off.

That can be removed. It definitely is not on my bimini.

The picture shows what I mean!!!

It's nice to know I'm not the only one. The only guess I've ever had was a lazy way to pad the two poles from smacking each other?

And mine looks the same....flap dangling off like it was just thrown on there but seeing yours it has got to be intentional.

LMAO.... I almost started this topic the other day but the Bud Lights made me forget....
I have no idea as they seem to serve no purpose what so ever. Almost took mine off last week but also worried that they served a hidden purpose that I had to learn some sort of secret handshake to figure out what they were for.

Mine are half off anyway so I will prob just go ahead and remove them.

I asked my dealer the other day and he said he didnt know either. His best guess was that they are on there to keep the two bimini poles from smacking into each other...
