I have a vexing issue I'm hoping someone else can help me with. Have a '13 A22 with stereo pack 2. Throttle input will essentially activate the "seek" function in whatever input you are on. Radio - next station. iPod- next song. Pandora - back to phone's native music list, then next song. It drives everyone in the boat nuts because it seems so random. We just figured out this weekend it only happens with throttle input.

Any advice before dealer visit? Is there a "sensitivity" setting somewhere that needs adjusted?

Thanks in advance.

Follow up - a hard reset of the head u it seems to have resolved/significantly helped this issue.

I had the exact same problem and the solution was simple. The problem was that the male plug from the speed/volume gizmo was not fully seated in the stereo's remote control input.

The diameter of the molded plastic on the jack made it hard for it to stay fully seated and as it went loose, it changed from up/down of volume to up/down of channel selection. I used a razor-blade knife and reduced the diameter a bit and the problem is resolved and it no longer messes with the music.

Additionally I changed the enable for the power amp for the tower speakers from the amp connector on the back of the stereo to an unused AUX switch on the dash. This allows me to have switch control of the rear sound projection. So when fire up and drive away in the morning, I can still listen to music while not annoying the neighbors excessively.

You could already do that anyway. Just set the fader on the head unit all the way to front. That puts all output just to the in boat speakers. Rear is the tower and center is both.

Hold the Phone! I thought the front / rear was selecting which pair of speakers in the boat are playing. So are all four speakers in the boat set up as "front"? I will try to remember to look into this over the weekend. I had thought that the "rear" was the aft cockpit speakers and the tower.

It would depend on how your amps are wired, but that's how SP3 comes from the factory. Easy to switch if yours isn't that way for some reason.

Wayne - which input on the back of the head unit did you modify? Was it the gray one that plugs into the lower right of the unit if you are looking at it from under the dash, facing the rear of the boat?
