So we got the break-in hours on the boat, the speed control runs high by 2.5-3mph, the dealer says Malibu is working on it and they probably have to replace the whole gauge and are not sure when the new parts will ship - other than that the boat ran awesome and the wake was great with just stock ballast - I haven't installed the plug and play yet - maybe this weekend. we got 13.5 hrs at Norris lake Friday and Saturday, no drift, Air was 55-65 and water was 52-57. Perfectly warm in my dry suit.

Do you know if this is a common problem on the guage cluster? I noticed mine did the same thing and when I tried to calibrate it, it seemed like none of my adjustments made any effect on the speed difference.

They said I'm the 6th complaint so far and the fix is in progress.

Good to know. I am planning to pick my boat up on Friday from the local dealer (heater core busted because they didn't winterize it). I may see if they will go for a test drive with me. I want to point out the issue to them directly and see if they can resolve it.

My dealer said they talked to malibu and the solution is in process, once they have the new gauges and test that its solved they will ship the new ones to the dealers to install. Timing was unkown.

Was the cruise just running high and not adjusting or was it being erratic on holding speed?

It was slightly erratic - it would go up and down about 1mph at 2-3mph over the setting. RPM mode held rock steady.

Off topic, but is that the new Ronix Parks Air Core you're riding?

Yes my 14' has been doing it ever since I picked it up last August. It will hold good on RPM but on speed it will not hold. It fluctuates up and down 1.5-2.5mph. I know they are working on it. Not sure if it's software or paddle wheel?
