Does anyone post the price they paid for their boat? How does it hurt negotiations? I have no problem posting my price if it helps the consumer. These things are overpriced anyways. I won't be butt hurt if I overpaid either. I am just curious cause it is a sensitive subject.

I'm anxious to see the response to this. I wouldn't mind seeing this either. My only thing is I wouldn't want to piss off my dealer.

I think your going to find prices are different all over the country. I can tell you what someone in our area can reasonably expect to pay. For a 2014 A22, 330hp, standard trailer, and no options you will be around 54,500$ but that is without tax, title, prep or doc fees. I think a lot of people that compare prices sometime include tax and sometimes don't. I never include it because it varies from state to state. I know a few of you guys are in TX and I don't believe they have sales tax but here in ID we are lucky enough to pay 6%. That's a 3200 difference. I also know from experience that some dealers charge a lot more for prep and freight. Also dealers charge differently for options. I wish they didn't but reality says they do. Take into account discounts. Our dealer has a return customer discount. It's great for us since we are buying our second boat from them but would skew the conversation, unless every dealer did it and we were all buying a second boat from that dealer. Sorry for being so long winded. That's probably a lot more than I needed to say

TX has a 6.25% sales Tax. I think it's fair to a public forum to post what you paid for it. Although there are so many variables. Also if your trading in a boat they play with the numbers and its not a true purchase price.

Yes we do have sales tax in Texas and typically the boat prices here are more realistic than places like the northeast. I laugh at what "boat show" prices are in those regions and the fact that their boating season is 5 months at best...more like 3-4 months for decent water temps

I stand corrected. You guys are lucky like us.

You'll also get a better deal if you are a multiple boat buyer at the same dealer.

Here is a boat show T22 with a pretty good option list. If you blow up the picture you can see prices and discounts. This was in NC. I nabbed it from another forum

Our boat show is two weeks away and I will get a bunch of price sheet pics. Hopefully they have them out?

That's not a good price for an average optioned T22. Stero Pack 1, standard bimini, no flake, but it has the 350 motor which should be the base motor. Without their "discounts" they wod build it for $70,000k? That's crazy.
