Cool Wake Event for Underprivlaged Kids

We hosted a very cool event for underprivileged kids yesterday, 8/8. A group of Axis and Malibu owners (a couple on this site) took about 25 kids from CFLC out on lake elsinore, for an awesome day on the lake. We had a great group of volunteers including Randall Harris, Ricky Gonazales and Tim Walters (from liquid force) who stopped by to support a great cause!

This is awesome! I'm glad to see Axis and Harris & company represent for this worthwhile cause, well done guys.

hey ed, thanks for sharing those photos. What a great event!! The kids I had were so stoked on wakeboarding after that day, I was so pumped for them. I was able to help 4 of the 5 to get up and ride, 2 of which were girls. The 2 guys were able to cut out of the wake and back in again by the end of the day. Pretty good for 5 kids that have never been on a lake, or in a boat, or pulled behind any watercraft before.

Funny story, they all thought that they were learning how to "weight-board"... lol! they did not realize until the end of the day that the "wave" the boat made was actually a "wake"... and that they were "wakeboarding". so rad. i cant wait for the next event!

ps: luke looks dope! I need to show Jackson that picture tomorrow, it will pump him up to try!!

haha... that is funny.

The event was definitely the highlight of my summer. The kids were awesome and very appreciative. I was able to get three of the four girls up on a wakeboard on our boat. They all had really great things to say at the end of the day. I was so pumped for them also... I can't wait to do this again.

WOW - well done guys! Feel good story of the year. Impressive to see 5 Axis boats in one spot too. Home many of you guys are sponsored or malibu/axis employees? There are only 3 (that I am aware of) on my entire lake of 500+ miles of shore - AN all Red, Blue, and Black (mine).

The one person there sponsored by Axis or Malibu was Randall... He and Ricky G. volunteered their time and brought Randalls boat out for a demo run. They also brought some swag (rockstar hats) that the kids were really stoked about.

The other Axis and Malibu boats were brought by local boat owners - a great group of volunteers!

nice and very cool event you put on. so how did you set up a thing like that. I thought about doing something similiar in the near future. most likely for next summer. just very curious.
