Im looking to get into an A22 in the future, coming from a 2001 tige 21v. Fromt what i've seen, the axis with ballast bags have little storage for anchors, bouys, dock lines, shore spike, etc. Where do you guys keep that stuff? With the front ballast bag, is there still room in front of that?
Too bad axis doesn't install a bow hatch for a small box anchor in the bow.
I guess that stuff can go under the cabin seats but I just wouldn't want to see it through the panels.

The A22 has plenty of room to keep stuff even with the sacs. I have all of my life vest in 2-gear bags that fit in the rear on top of the sacs, even when full. I keep all of my dock lines and bouys under the port side seat and all of my dock rops, ancors and spike under the rear port side seat, in front of the rear sac (doesn't effect that area when full). I still have the starboard seat open for people to put stuff and I also keep towels and stuff that can't get wet on top of my batteries. I thought the same thing as you but once I bought a couple of gear bags, everything worked out well. Also if your interested I will be putting my 2012 A22 black and green vandall up for sale soon, it's loaded with every option and has 110 hours. PM me if you need more information.

That sounds like a great boat, but the thing holding us back is that we NEED the salt package. Used salt series boats just aren't there and new ones are too expensive right now.

I was under the impression that universal Complete cooling kits can only be used with the old cast iron manifolds/ risers mercruiser used to use. Where the coolant would be flushed through the manifold but the raw water still cooled the risers then out the exhaust.
I'm not sure how the factory closed cooling on axis works. How coolant flushes through the manifolds but doesn't come out the exhaust? Or is the raw water directed through the heat exchanger then somewhere else along the exhaust?
I actually have had great luck with salt water cooling the engine; I use salt away. It's the trailers that go to crap, QUICKLY.
I haven't really researched the price on galvanized or aluminum trailers but im guessing they are $5k+. There is always the option on getting a regular boat then modifying, I just don't know if it would save or cost me money.
