Would anyone know what year the driver seat sub enclosure like the one in this image became an option. I'm looking to order one for an 09.

I think the driver sub was an option in 2012 but its a free air design, most people have one made enclosed for the tighter bass, but if that's what you want just order the '12 footwell and it should come with a template to cut out for the sub, my dealer quoted me 175$ for the footwell, that's when I forked over the 250 and just got the sealed one from scream marine.

I put the 2012 factory sub enclosure in my 2010 A22 because I wanted to keep a clean factory look but mounted a box behind it. Factory look that sounds good.

My factory sub enclosure is just sitting around. I'm not sure how much these retail for but I'll make you a deal on mine.

Honestly, mounting a sub free-air in the footwell wastes most of what the sub can actually do. If you are going to spend money on it, you are much better off spending it on a proper enclosure. It's next on my list of upgrades.
