I bought a 4th gen iPod Touch and my stereo doesn't recognize it, when I plug it in I just get USB No Music. It basically doesn't see it as an iPod.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks, Jason

What stereo head, factory Sony? Have you tried using aux? Have you used iPod with anything else to verify that it is head unit and not iPod?
I have heard of people trying to use iPod as a storage device ( for transferring files ) and changed some setting that makes it pull up on a computer like a USB don't know if that's your issue or not but it would make it only show data files and not music files

It is the factory CDX-H910UI. The AUX connection works fine but can't change songs from that which was the point of buying the touch.
The touch hooks to my computer OK so I don't think its the cable.
Thanks for the ideas.
Anybody else?

In my google searches the only other thing I saw was a hard reset of the iPod ( home button and power button until logo appears) which they claim will not erase data but will reset to normal default. They claimed they didn't eject iPod correctly and corrupted some files. I don't have that head unit so I don't know if you have to eject the iPod or not but it's worth a shot if it hasn't been done other then that I'm out of options good luck

I used a first get touch for a long time until it committed suicide into a rogue wave, it worked but sometimes would not read if the cable was wet.

Walter, I will double check and make sure the connections are dry.
