Hey guys - I've been playing around with my Axis A22 (2010) for a few weeks now trying to setup the best surf wave possible. I can't seem to have it Clean.

My setup is;
Riding Regular
Back Left Ballast Full (200lbs)
Back Left Compatement SAC (750lbs)
Middle Left SAC (400lbs)
Bow Left SAC (400lbs)
Center Ballast Empty as full brakes the wave
---Tried speed anywhere from 9 to 13 Mph

I heard that there is a new swim platform with rounded corners that came out in 2013 that I could fit on my 2010 A22. Apperently it makes the surf wave much cleaner. How much is it worth and where can I order it?

Any suggestions on my Surf setup without buying a new platform?

Thank you,

Mike

I'd like to see a comparison in the two swim decks!

My 2010 wake look about the same. Mine Maybe a little taller wave with gas tank, front, mid, and 1100 pnp all full @11mph. I have seen it quoted between $800 and $1300 for the v2 swim deck. They chopped the corners and filled the bottom. Axis dealer is the only place you can order one. I'm waiting to see the 2014 deck before ordering anything.

There is comparison between the first gen platform and the current gen that came out in 2012. Cleaning up the wake is not the issue on your wake...it's that God aweful shape of it due to the corner of your platform cutting into it. If you're going to keep your 2010 Axis for a couple years or more it will be in your best interest to get a new platform or see if they made any changes for the 2014 platform.

Thanks guys - what do you think about bringing the current 2010 platform to a fiberglass shop and get them to fill the bottom so that it doesn't cut the wave - do you think that could do the trick? A little less expensive then a new platform :)

That will get rid of the spraying but you might as well have them chop the corners off to fix the wave shape...then you are getting close to the price of a new deck. Could always build a teak deck too.

That won't do it...it the sharp corner that's digging into the wake and giving it that ugly round shape. You need to just totally modify the shape of it or get the new one.
