went to my dealer today, spoke with their installers, spoke with wakemakers, and read through every thread on here and im ore confused than ever.

ill be climbing in he boat tonight but hoping ill know what im looking at when i do so. for the rear of the boat i already have 750lb bags that i pulled from my other boat. these fly high bags have a port on one end of the bag, and two ports on the top of the bags.....this seams to get me most confused as nobody seems to understand this setup. from what ive gathered across 4 sources i should plumb the lower rear-most hose to the port on the end of the bag, plug one on the top, and the top port closes to the front of the boat will have the fill hooked up to. is this right?

the above setup is what wakemakers told me. my marine shop said that i will have the rea hose hooked up which is a drain, one top will be a fill, and one top will be a vent that actually vents to the hard tank. It cant be this hard but as others have explained it seems like the only way is to track each hose end to end to identify what setup is needed.....id prefer not to do this. hahahah

thanks!!

I have the SL bags that have 2 drains so mine is a little different but here is my advice.

You had it right with this:
I should plumb the lower rear-most hose to the port on the end of the bag, plug one on the top, and the top port closes to the front of the boat will have the fill hooked up to.

I had to take the cover off the back hose and flip it closer to the rear of the boat so the sac would fill better.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Climbed in the boat today to prep to toss the bags in tomorrow and this is what I found in the rear.....

Rear hose is the second drain have to leave that plugged because......

I have to take the hose so it follows this route:

Pump--loop on wall--fill bag--drain to hard tank

Is this correct? The only other option I thought would be to take the hard tank overflow or drain and rte it to the bag which seams messier.

Even with two drain ports this looks to be how it has to be hooked up, but add the extra drain for the bag so its a bit faster emptying??.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Have you see this - http://media.wakemakers.com/2013/02/201 ... st-system/. Do you have the wye connection and valve that they mention?

One thing that the article mentions that I would also wonder about is the lack of an air vent for the bag? I guess you'll have to see how it works without one.

I think you are thinking about this to much. The hose with the valve hooks to the top of the bag and either hose on the floor hooks to the bottom, it really is that simple.

With only one drain you don't get the quicker draining of the bag to the tank as its all gravity doing the work and you will only have one but it only affects drain time. You will probably have to drain, turn it off, wait for the bag to drain into the hard tank and then drain again. I have heard some users mention this has to be done 2 or 3 times to get all the water out.

As for the no vent just order one of these, http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-pro- ... -w749.html , that should eliminate the venting issue.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Rears work perfect so thank you!....here is what is going on with the front...

Drain is hooked to the rear of the bag, air vent above that, and fill it hooked to the hole a bit more forward on the bag....

2 problems:
1) bag mysteriously fills (I thought the 2013's had a valve to stop this?) all the time
2) this thing sucks at draining. I will only drain when very full and it only drains about 70% of the bag

Any ideas?

Ignore the draining issue....didn't realize its gravity fed so I will be shortening that hose.

As for the mysterious filling I have a grey round inline valve but its still just willing whenever it wants....do I need to pull this thing and make sure it works?

My bag did that too after I put in a check valve, I had to put a vented loop below the glove box to stop the auto fill, that or you can close the ball valve. Closing the valve is easiest.

I'll give it a try the next time out. Just cruising from camp to the boat launch this morning the bag filled 3/4 full.
