I have an Axis A22 2012 model. At the end of last year my service alert popped up on my screen. Causing the engine to hault but will keep running and error pops up on the screen that it needs to be serviced with loud beeping. This caused me almost to run in the back of the boat because I was surfing. I took it to the dealer and he claimed that something was loose. I took the boat out yesterday and went to hammer down on the throttle and it did again. If you push the info button the beeping will go away and everything is running fine on the boat. The temp on engine is fine, oil pressure is fine. What could be tripping the sensor for service? This boat only has 54 hours on it.

yours must be one of the few, i've heard about the '10-'11's doing it but not a '12. If you can get it to the dealer ask if they can scan it and see what code you get, I was getting a strange PCM checksum error, ended up being a communication issue with the tach on the network, I had mine replaced and a few others have too. My service alarm has popped once or twice since then but its always when someone else is driving and is usually associated with the way they start the engine as I always fire it up the same.

mine did this too, right after I had to switch batteries because one was too low to start my boat. I made sure to trickle charge both batteries when I got out, the next 2 times I went out everything was fine. 2 days ago i had a low battery after sitting with music for a while and it barely started my boat, then the beeping came on... every 5 minutes, canceled it with the info toggle, switched batteries and it kept doing it every 5 minutes. I am going out right now, hoping that it has cleared. Mine seems to be a low voltage issue as my batteries may be getting tired (5+ years old)

I have at the dealer to do a scan to see what is tripping the service alert. Thanks for the replies and I will post what dealer tells me is tripping the service alert. 8-)

Well they reset my computer in the boat couldn't get it to do service engine error again. I took the boat out Sunday and after 20 minutes of being out there it did it again. Going to have to change out the whole throttle body. Something in it is causing the service engine alarm to come on. Nothing to do with the engine. I was told that there is no more throttle cable it is electronic now. Well Sunday I got to listen all day to the wonderful sound of the alarm all day. I guess I will have to deal with it until my dealer gets the new throttle body in to be replaced.

My 2012 a20 did it the first time I took the boat out, only 8 hrs on it. Took it back to the dealer and they replaced a throttle position switch on the throttle lever. Got it back and everthing was fine for about 3 trips to the lake and it came back on, I disconnect batt. For a min. And its fine for awhile but eventually comes back on..

Well I hope it is finally fixed. The dealer replaced the whole throttle body. This should fix the service engine error. Went Saturday and had the boat out for 8 hours and no beeping.
