Welp, it was about this time a year ago when I picked up my 2011 A20. I am loving the boat, put about 240 hours on it in a year, still runs like a dream! I had a long flight back from Spain this weekend and I had some GoPro footage laying around on my laptop. I made this in about 2 hours with iMove. Hope you guys enjoy it! Not as many clean landings as I would like, but it's all I had sitting on my laptop, the good stuff was on my PC at home. Hence, all the good crashes :) Myself and 2 of my friends are the riders. For some perspective, I ride @ 75' @ 26mph on the cruise control (yeah that seems off I know), with the 335 engine and about 2,500lbs of ballast in it.

Oh well, looking forward to doing another vid for this season with the Hero3!!

Nice video. Those fish-eye camera lenses make you look like you're at 175'...not 75'.

Thanks! Yeah it's the Hero2 so I need wide angle to get the higher FPS. Makes for much better slow motion! Now I'm motivated to make a better video for this year. Stoked for the new season!! I'm really just looking to mastering riding switch, get better at spinning and add some grabs to the inverts I can already do, should be a fun year! Oh and getting the Whirly consistent would be really nice!

Nice vid, how did you have the A20 weighted for the surfing? Wedge? What speed?

Hey Steele, first thing I do is make sure the rear PNP bag & rear hard tank on the non-surfside is *completely* empty. This is key for getting a nice clean wave for me. I usually keep the center hard tank empty, or maybe put 250lbs in it (half full) if it's listing too hard. After that, I fill up:

*The bow PNP bag (~750lbs) pretty much full
*400lb fat sac on the left side of the bow (normal surf side), don't worry it won't go anywhere
*400lb fat sac on the seats just in front of the left rear locker (I'll tie mooring lines around it to keep it steady just to eliminate the possibility of rolling it off the seat). If you have a few friends, just have them sit there and don't use this sac.
*left rear hard tank full + 750lb fat sac above hard tank full

That makes a pretty nice wave that is still long @ 10.6mph or so, you'll have to play with the speedometer til you like it, but that's the sweet spot for me!
