Just purchased an A22 with 400 motor and everything has been great. However, there are days when me and the boss just want to go for a cruise with other couples with no intentions to wakeboard, etc. Ballast and wedge will not be used. 6 people will be the maximum # in the boat. MY question is, would a acme 381 prop (13.5 x 17.5) be a good cruising prop? Have any of you ever used the 381? I am currently using the 537 (stock prop). What do you guys think?

I have not had a 381 on a Malibu or an Axis. The normal stock prop is the 537. I think that is the best prop. The 1235 is more for a loaded down boat.

The real question IMHO is do you use the boat more for wakeboarding/surfing or cruising? If you use it more for Wakeboarding/surfing I would not swap out the prop. If you cruise more than yeah swap it out. No idea if the 381 is the right prop or not. Call up Acme they are super helpful and will steer you towards the perfect prop for your needs.

ask for Bill weeks.. He is the one I always talk with for Boardstop prop questions. He has always recommended the best prop for whatever boat customer we have had..
I do have a 537 prop listed in the classified section. I am selling it for one of my buddies.. Totally forgot I was trying to sell it for him..
