Photo #1 is the worst alleged surgate wave I've ever seen. Something is wrong with setup, speed, gate, ballast, etc prior to that photo being taken as that is not even close to a typical surgate wave.

My 2014 with surfgate is squeaky clean. Could someone possibly be trying to promote/troll these Delta things?

So I think you guys are missing the big picture. Both of those wakes surfed very very similar behind the boat. That’s really the story worth telling.

The other big story is 1+1 don’t equal 2. If you use a delta type gate and the surfgate at the same time it don’t equal a better wake. In fact I could only feel slight differences when the surfgate was engaged with the delta type gate on, and it was just slight changes in the shape of the wake, not making it bigger, longer, or any cleaner.

The delta style gates are a game changer in my opinion. It’s crazy what a 6x9” piece of plastic sucked to the side of a boat can equal. I spend a bunch of time behind friends boats who don’t have surf gates and now knowing that that I can suck a piece of plastic to their boats and clean up their wake similar to a surf gate style wake is amazing! That in my opinion is why these delta style gates are blowing up so big on the other boat forums, people are getting a taste of the surf gate style wake and are going nuts!

So which one was the delta style gate #1 or #2? Does it matter? Both surfed nearly equally as great and that to me is the story worth telling.

Delta is a great product but to say better than factory Surfgate is a reach in my opinion.

Who in their right mind would use Delta and surfgate at the same time? No one even suggested that.

Guys do what you want with the info. I sure as hell aint trolling for delta or I guess in this case myself as I made delta style gate for less than $50. Just surprised that the idea works as good as it does more than anything and was sharing the info.

And who said to try both? I did, I have both to work with so why not experiment??

I think using the same setup for a surf gate and switching to the delta is the wrong approach.

Dial in the best surfgate wave and ride it. Then dial in the best delta wave ride it and compare. Different surf systems need to be dialed in differently.

The delta is blowing up cause it's cheaper than getting surf gates or tabs. If you could afford the gates you would get them.
