Looks good! Hows the sound? Did your Axis not come with the amp rack? I had stereo option 1 (one amp) and they included a full rack. If you listen to tunes at the cove, I'd recommend a battery switch/isolator and a shore charger. Less wear on the alternator and longer lasting batteries. We'll have to meet up on the Trinity soon. I think I'm going to make a run up there on Sunday.

looks great man!!! I really like that box. its going to be a good summer :D

I see in your picture of the open footwell that you are running your ipod connection down into the cup holder. Is that the normal location for you? If so, try this: run the cable out of the hole behind the dash where the wiring harness exits behind the throttle. you can drop the cable down into the little storage hole and keep your ipod there with your wires all hidden.

I hooked up an old ipod that i decided to leave in the boat at all times, and hid it behind this little cubby. i never have to see it or touch it anymore. it works out pretty well by running the ipod through the head unit.

anyhow, your setup looks dope. now you are propped correctly and have a bangin system...comon summer

Also don't forget that if you don't want to leave an ipod in there and chance it getting wet do what I did, get a 4gig usb thumb drive and put your music on that, the head unit reads them too, and they are cheaper than an ipod if it gets wet. I know, I lost an 8gig touch to a rogue wave last summer.

Nasty- It souds better than I expected. I tried not to piss the neighbors off too bad, but I may come home at lunch when their gone and test it out right. Mine didn't come with an amp rack for some reason. It was a demo @ CTWS in Austin. I do have a Perko Switch and I put a trickle charger on my batteries after a long day on the water. I'll PM you with my Phone number and maybe try to meet ya'll down there one day.

Johnny- I don't have that little cubby by the throttle on mine either.I usually hook it up and lay it in the corner of my windshield, but the cord stays in the cup holder when not in use. I always use my IPhone for sound because I'm in sales and it's my money maker.

I had one rattle, but I tracked it down fairly quick. Just need some foam and I can get that fixed quick.

yeah, what walter said, thats the better option.

hey walter, I bought a 16GB thumbdrive, loaded it up full with songs from iTunes and intended to use it through the headset. When I plugged it in, the headset would read the thumbdrive and play the songs, but they were not organized by artist or album. They were alphabetical order according to the name of the song.

My ipod is 8GB and I would love to go back to the thumbdrive, but I cant stand not being able to play the album I want.... any ideas for me?

I'll have to check with mine next time I get in the boat but I think if you drag the playlist from iTunes and drop it on the drive it saves each playlist separate, I'll take a look again this weekend, I never paid too close attention because usually I just push the shuffle button and let it all play out

Playlist should work - although since its itunes specific the thumb drive may write it wacky. you could try creating some type of folder structure (with a group of songs in each folder) on your thumbdrive. It should read the folder structure in alphabetical order.
