I don't know if it's that much over. I was worried at first about pulling it with the Jeep but I haven't had any problems so far and I've pulled it a few times summer. I pay very close attention to the RMPs and breaking when I'm pulling and don't feel there an issue.
There will always be someone towing more capacity with less vehicle -

If you're making any longer trips or doing hills you might want to watch the transmission oil temp and either add or augment the oil cooler.
Most likely you'll tow your boat and never have any issues beyond a bit faster wear and tear. I'd be concerned about the "what if" situations. You're going down the highway at 65 and suddenly need to stop right away. Your vehicle weight is going to be around 4300 - 4500. The boat, trailer (800?) and full tank of gas is going to be around 4300.
The GCVR is between 8000 and 8200 depending on your specific model -

I think that video maybe a
little bit of an exaggeration compared to my situation. I never said anything about pulling on the highway going 65; I pull from my garage to the ramp and back. About a 5 min on back roads (one stop sign) going no more than 35, one passenger in the jeep, empty boat and usually nowhere near a half tank of gas, I fuel up and load the boat once it's on my shore station. I really do appreciate your concern, but I don't pull for hours at a time with a boat loaded full up and down hills from lake to lake, I know my vehicle and I am comfortable with the conditions I'm pulling under.
