PIcs of the brace. This is very similar to what Axis uses when the ship the boats.

Nice and simple. That's pretty much what I had in mind.

Anyone find the thread size for the tower bolts? been looking at mcmaster.com and they have some knobs that might work.

Matt, did you ever find a replacement knob?

I am almost done with my Jack system that I am copying from Bama, but before I did that, I needed to stop putting the rack on my back seat. Here was my solution:

Looks great Scotifer, what about some carpet to wrap around it?

Not yet- I just started walking/driving a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to run up to Lowes and see if I can find thread pattern

Good idea - I was thinking of carpet on the bottom and painting the rest, but it would be nice to have the whole thing in carpet in case I drop it on the boat.

I bought some extras when I use to keep my boat in dry storage. Now I keep it in a wet slip, and don't lower the tower. How many do you need? PM me your address.

I have to lower my tower every time as well. Any idea where to get some knobs instead of bolts? Did anyone find the tread size?

Have found a fix to the problem. With the help of my dealer we were able to put a lower profile tire on the trailer and lower the trailer a couple of notches.

Now I only have to unscrew two screws for the tower light and the top pylon clears by a little less than an inch. No more breaking down the tower!!! Total height now is approx. 118"+ inches.

Will post pics this weekend and maybe start a new thread on Axis tower height and storage issues.
