I've got a spare '11 platform (the old style one) in black. If anyone wants to buy it from me and modify it so that it will work better than what they have, pm me. I'm in SE Tennessee. I'd perfer not to ship it because it is super heavy and bulky.

It will probably weigh less than the factory unit, but because of its size the weight won't change the shipping costs much or at all. I have designed a few layouts, I just need to get lake time to test. Ill post pica and video when we finish our tests.

Thanks for your efforts in this project. When you test can you please do both sides of the wake, using wedge or no wedge (most use wedge), AND note what the ballast used during test (most us are using either 750 or 1100lb sacs in the surf side corner.

No problem, I will test with the different weight setups/wedge placements and document it for everyone.

The cushion on my 2011 swim deck is coming up. What is the best type of adhesive/sealant I can apply that will keep it down for good (or at least a few years)?

2011's had some problems with sea deck on the swim platforms... including mine. I called my dealer and they replaced it with a brand new pad. so far it is holding up, the first one started peeling immediately. If you are out of warranty, then I do not know what would be best. i used a little bit of fabric adhesive to hold down my corners until my new pad came in.

I heard that there was a problem with the adhesive, and when the hot platform hits the cool water, the thermal expansion coefficient differences cause it to peel. Was supposed to get mine done over the winter, but just never got a chance. Wonder if I could just get a 2012 pad and try to modify the platform, and if (when!) I screw it up, order one of the ones from Nick.

Contact cement is great. It's what I used to put hydroturf all over my standup jetski years ago and it is still holding up great. You just have to beat the hell out of the cushion with a rubber mallet.

The Seadek on 2011 is holding as good as new (bought boat in May 2011). 120 hrs on the boat and Texas heat...maybe I got lucky.
