That’s colder than I have done before by a lot. I was dreading it before getting in. But it turned out to be plenty warm. Dry suit with neo cloves and booties. Only thing that was cold was my head when I fell. Just need a better hood next time. Sitting in the boat after, I was warmer I’m my dry suit than street clothes.

For all those that have a short season, the right gear can make it much longer.

Your kids are tougher than me for hanging out in the boat at those temps!

Dude, you are about to run aground in 2 feet of water.

I don't go out when it is that cold, or if the water is not great. I figure if I am going to brave super cold water, it better be calm. My hat is off to the wife for loading up the kids and coming with you. Keep that woman at all costs!

Keep that wife happy for sure. Any wife that would take two kids out under 4(?) is a keeper. Now tell me she can back the trailer and load the boat?

She’s a better driver than most of lake. Pays way more attention (ie doesn’t touch the radio).

Boys were 10 months and 4 years old.

Icing on the cake? She rides in the cold every year with us.

Not this pic, but you get the idea.
