I have a 13 a22 that I bought a few months ago. This exact same thing happened to me. We was filling ballast getting ready to surf, had a few extra people on board. we was looking at surf deck and thought man this is gonna be a good wake. By the time someone got ready to surf the boat would not get above 5mph had cruise set at 9.4. Then started hearing a squealing noise so opened up the engine compartment and the engine bay was full of water. Got to checking out bags and they where empty. The quick connect had came apart (which it does every time we use the boat). But on top of that the opposite bag the threaded part came out of the bag. we bilged for nearly 2 hours, hooked everything back up and continued to surf. This happens every time we go to the lake now. Its a ritual to fill bags, surf for a minute, bilge out all water hook quick connect back up and screw threaded piece back in, then start playing. This axis is nice but, between the ballast system, the front 2 cushions melting down, 2 wet sound xs-650 rgb speakers in the bow not working, the wet sound sub never working, Deck trac peeling up, chilax seats never want to go back down with out a fight, plus having to buy a $700 prop to actually get a good surf wake. I would have been better off keeping my 03 crownline and getting a new prop.

I have made it a habit to open the rear compartments when I start filling the PnP on any boat. Axis or Malibu. Not knowing who has taken out my boat the day before I always make sure I give them a quick check. Make sure they are filling and no water is being pumped into the boat.

If your bags are pulling out every time I would look at extending a hose or two. Maybe putting a loop in the ones that could be pulled out if the bag slides. If your bags are sumo see if the ring fix will resolve that problem.

You should be able to at least get your PnP to work most of the time. :)

I still think you are better off than trying to surf behind a crownline(with an I/O)? That could be deadly.

I was out last weekend in my 2011 A20, just boating around and had lunch and a few beers, no board stuff so didn't mess with the ballast system. After just 3 hours on the water I pull it out for the day and to my surprise I had 5 inches of water in the bottom of the boat, pulled both the center plug and rear plug and it drained for ten minutes.

The bilge pump kicked on a couple of times when I was out but I didn't think much about it. Now I realize it took on way to much water, so I took it to the dealer.. hopefully it is just a seal adjustment on the v-drive shaft.

It seemed like a lot of water in it for not hitting any big waves and washing over, though it was choppy on the downwind side of the lake and it was splashing pretty good for a 20 minutes cruising back to the calmer waters, though I don't think that was what attributed to that much water in the bottom.

We'll see I guess, wondered if it could be coming from the ballast lines, but I didn't pump any water in?

sounds like a whole lot of dealer stuff to fix. few of those speaker issues should be pretty easy to track down the fix.

Been meaning to post this for a few days now, but I got the boat back from the dealer last week. It was my left rear connector on my Plug N' Play that had snapped off.

What type of bags? Straight or elbow fitting?

They were the Sumo bags, honestly not sure on the fitting.

My dealer has elbows for the FH bags, I re-ordered straight fittings as this seems to be a huge amount of pressure on the hose and bag. The Sumos seem to be plagued with issues of the fittings coming loose. Sorry to hear about the boat but happy yours is not at the bottom of the lake! I tell every driver about the story of the one that sank in 30 seconds. Would make me sick.
