This is completely false. Just spoke with my dealer about it.

The floating wedge is designed so that it finds its set position as you run. They actually go pro'd the wedge one time and found that when you are running the boat at wakeboard speeds, the wedge finds it's spot about halfway between all the way up and all the way down.

The hole is there because it is the same bracket as a fixed wedge. If you remove the bolt completely, the wedge will click in all the way down and become a fixed wedge.

Remeber, as the bow rises and falls, the angle of the wedge is going to want to change, so the "floating" design allows the foil to channel the water in the most ideal way for maximum downforce.

I agree on the multi position myth on the floating wedge. It's does it's own thing and does it well.

im not discrediting the dealer that gopro'd it but id like to see the video ... im so curious that I think im going to try to film it. even if I can't see in the water I can stick it under the platform and see if its on the stops or not. I know when im riding I can see it and it looks on the stops

Just take a video looking through the wedge door while someone drives the boat for you

I actually changed my setting yesterday after talking about this. Maybe it was my imagination, but my wake seemed to be more "lippy" than when it was in the top setting, which is what I am used to and was wanting. And playing around with the surfgate with the wedge in the lower position, the surf wake seemed a bit bigger than the first time I tried it with the bolts in the higher setting

So did you just remove the top bolts and let the pins go all the way down and lock in the bottom holes?

I removed the bolt/nut in the top holes closest to the hull and put them into the bottom hole
