You guys running with lead in the bow, Are you trailering or on a lift? I have heard that anything over 200lbs in the bow is a lot harder to load on the trailer. Looking at adding lead but not sure how much to put in.

I trailer 600 lbs of lead. 200 in the bow, 100 behind the subwoofer, 100 next to the batteries, 100 under the seat behind the driver seat, 100 opposite of that under seats on passenger side.

I had 400 in the very tip of the bow, but I changed my weight configuration last year and only have 200 now. Having 200 in the bow is no big deal. It is noticeable when loading the boat on the trailer, but very manageable.

You guys are worrying me again....I am brand new to all this and just ordered a new T22 as an upgrade from my old jet boat. I am going to the factory next Tuesday to get a look at my new T22 on the production line and I am so excited I can't stand it. I went with the monsoon 350 and a Cinco prop. I have the plug and play that comes with it and don't see my family using much more than that for now. Later on though, when we want to load the boat up and get a monster surf wave or wake out of it...I just need the 2315? Is that going to have me at high RPM's when I want to cruise at 30 mph? Do you guys think the. Cinco is a good all around for the beginners in my family. Will it have any trouble getting all the OEM ballast and wedge up on plane?

The cinco with factory ballast (hard tanks) and the wedge will work fine. It's if you add another 1500+Lbs with bags and use the wedge that you'll need the core prop. But the core prop will have you at high rpms to cruise at 30mph. I don't go over 25 very often with my boat.

Does anybody have a short list of engine RPM's at wakeboard speeds for the various props? Max cruising speeds of the various props used in these boats? Obviously there is no one prop to do it all, but I just want to find the best all around for pulling a good amount of weight and still be able to cruise at a reasonable GPH. My dealer said the cinco was it.

The cinco is a great all around prop imo. You can still go heavy with it, just may not be able to use the wedge and fill the rear bags all the way up, and you will want extra weight up front depending on how heavy you want to ride.

The Cinco is an excellent all around prop. It is buttery smooth and the quietest by far out of the props I have tested ( OJ core, 1235, 2419, 2315, and the cinco). It was able to get my A22 with the 335 CAT motor up on plane with 4000 lbs of ballast but NO WEDGE, thats water and lead weight only. Then I added the sumo 800 floor sack, with 2 adults and a rider in tow, the cinco DID get the boat up on plane, but we had to drain the rear sacks for a minute to do so. Thats approx 4800 lbs, 2 adults, full fuel, no wedge and rider in tow. So if you have stock tanks plus plug n play (assuming rears are filled to 400-500 only) you should be able to run the wedge… the wake will be huge though. Top speed of the Cinco in my boat with 600 lbs of lead only was 43 mph… the fastest of the 5 props, but the 2315 was no slouch at 40 mph. I cruise the cinco on big lakes at 30 all day long and do well with fuel, the 2315 I keep it around 27 and they are similar rpms' if I remember correctly.

Check out this thread and you will see the results for 5 props behind my boat. Definitely pay attention to my weighted specs to see how it may affect your boat. You can see my rpms in relation to speed when weighted and not weighted. (ADMIN, can we pin this prop thread to the top of the "Axis Boat Gear" forum?)

Awesome Johnny! Great write up and just the info I was looking for! I think I will be happy with the Cinco for now and Based on your final thoughts and other things I have read...it will be a choice between the 1235 and 2315 as a spare. I think..still trying to keep the numbers straight.

Something I don't understand though....can't boat manufactures come up with a 2 speed gearbox of some sort? you could have tractor like torque to get up on plane then switch to a high gear once you get going? I guess it must have something to do with the physics of the water....That's probably why tugboats and large vessels have variable pitch props.

When we demoed our A22 last week we had the 1235 prop and were at 2700' in elevation. We ran to 43mph with no weight. I didn't look at the tach but I did have a little room left in the throttle. We then filled all the ballast (hard tanks and ronix 800s in the locker. FH 950 under the bow and 3 adults) she got up on plane no problem and made me seriously consider keeping the 1235. The wakeboard wake was massive and the surf wave was good but definitely needed more bow weight. I know when we drop the wedge the 1235 is not going to cut it. Especially when we get up to 5000' ele.

The wedge is the deal breaker on the Cinco and 1235 prop if loaded.
